锆及其合金的异种焊接和钎焊:方法、参数、冶金学和接头性能,Journal of Manufacturing Processes

The review summarizes the experience and results of joining zirconium and its alloys with other materials by welding and brazing procedures, especially relevant for the nuclear and chemical industries. The main emphasis is placed on the applied methods and implemented parameters, the metallurgy of the processes, as well as functional properties of the obtained joints. The possibilities of using state diagrams and Darken-Gurry plots to predict the distribution of elements in the dissimilar joints are considered and numerous data on interdiffusion of zirconium and its alloys with metals, alloys, steels of various grades, and ceramics are systematized. Diffusion and high-pressure torsion bonding in addition to explosion, friction, ultrasonic, resistance upset, gas tungsten arc, as well as electron- and laser-beam welding procedures are described. Brazing is reported separately from the point of view of optimization of the process parameters and filler compositions. As conclusions, some recommendations are proposed for the further development of the mentioned methods of dissimilar joining zirconium and its alloys.
